I pretty much live in athleisure wear every day. I was headed out to do some errands/work and wanted to share this outfit because it combines three of my favorite athleisure items…they’ve been on repeat in my closet every week. I found these leggings recently on the Nordstrom website, they are from an athletic brand called Zella. I own two Zella zip-front hoodies that I really love and wore to Disneyland, but these leggings were new and were a bit risky because pants tend to be really hard for me to find, and I haven’t shelled out the cash for a Lululemon pair. Here’s the details on these: They are SO SOFT! The fabric is more of a brushed feel than a shiny or matte athletic pant. This is nice because they can be worn with non athletic wear as regular leggings. They are high waist and really ahem, suck everything in. They also stay up ALL DAY and never get baggy or stretched out. They have washed well on cold wash and low heat tumble dry, which is super important to me, because I wash everything in the machine.
One downside is that the label that says Zella is in a weird spot on the back waistband, so I couldn’t wear something where it showed because it’s in an awkward spot. I can’t think of an instance where I would have a cropped shirt or tucked in top on with these, but if you wear a lot of crop sport bras or loose tanks, the label will definitely show. The only other downside is the length and since I am so short, that’s pretty much always a problem for me (#shortgirlproblems). Find these awesome leggings HERE. They are true to size for me. I wear a 26/2 and I got an XS.
I bought these Nikes when we went to Disneyland, and they’ve been worn over and over since. I figure if a sneaker can make it through 10 hour days at Disneyland, they’re worth the money! You can find them here (true to size, I got a 6.5). And lastly, this tunic was a great buy at Zappos. It’s by New balance and is super soft, comfy and long. It runs on the small side, so size up. I typically wear an XS and it’s a S. It’s sold out but this one is really close.
Has anyone compared Zella to Lululemon? I’m hoping to compare the two here on the blog soon! Let me know if you have any thoughts!
